Michigan's Spring Game shows why Ohio State should be confident about The Game

The Ohio State football program had a solid Spring Game while their rivals did not.

The Ohio State football program didn't have many issues at the end of the season. They went on the best four-game run in college football history in order to win the national championship. Of course, there was one big game that didn't go their way, and that was The Game.

Ohio State lost that game for the fourth straight time. It is the one big issue that Ryan Day has had in his head coaching career, but things should be much easier for him now that he has a national championship under his belt. He will be more relaxed for The Game.

Based on what fans of the Ohio State Buckeyes saw from Michigan during their Spring Game over the weekend, they should feel really good about their chances to reverse this troubling trend. TTUN had some really concerning performances, especially from their offense.

TTUN's poor Spring Game performance is great for Ohio State

TTUN had a final score of just 17-0, not a great sign for what their offense wants to accomplish. The only touchdown that true freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood was able to have was on a flea-flicker. He also threw a terrible interception, which TTUN fans did not want to see.

Ohio State football fans know that they have the more talented team. They have for most of the last three years as well, but they still lost all of them. The difference is that the coaching will be completely different now, as will how TTUN will look in the trenches.

Even though Ohio State has some concerns on the defensive line, they still should be the better team up front. While it's just the Spring Game, it certainly gave Ohio State fans a lot of joy to watch it. The Buckeyes will worry about it more when November rolls around.
