The Ohio State football team took down Sherrone Moore in the last game he ever coached for Michigan, beating them 27-9. That win was perhaps the most satisfying win of the season for the Buckeyes because of how dominant they were after the first quarter.
A couple of weeks later, Moore was fired by TTUN for an inappropriate relationship with a staffer. The ensuing incident afterwards with him going to the staffer's house, was extremely sad. It sure looks like Moore's coaching career is done, although he'll likely avoid jail time.
With everything that happened with Moore, this makes the comments that a Michigan player made about Moore and the coaching staff, and against Ohio State, look even worse. Jordan Marshall said these comments just before taking on the Ohio State Buckeyes, too.
Jordan Marshall's comments against Ryan Day look worse after Sherrone Moore incident
Marshall's comments aged like milk. Here's what he had to say about Moore compared to the Ohio State coaching staff.
“The best head coach in the Big Ten and college football and how he carries himself and how he puts himself over the team and it’s about the culture.”
Marshall also talked about how he didn't like some people at Ohio State, saying coaches there make it about themselves. Marshall said he wanted to be around better people. That means he wanted to be around Moore, which means Marshall clearly doesn't have a good judge of character.
Ryan Day has done nothing but good things for his players. He has been a role model coach, and he has a national championship to his name. He is preparing his team to win their second straight national title, as the Buckeyes will face the winner of Miami and Texas A&M.
Meanwhile, Michigan is preparing for its bowl game against Texas and is now looking for a head coach. The programs are in totally opposite directions, and that's because of leadership.
