The Ohio State football team is playing a really good Texas team in the first game of the season. That's the premier non-conference game of the year for the Buckeyes, and possibly in all of college football. It's a game that many Ohio State fans wanted to see in primetime.

Texas refused the request that the Ohio State Buckeyes made to move the kickoff time to Sunday. Instead, they forced FOX to keep the game at noon. Big Noon will now host this game. It's disappointing for Ohio State fans across the country.

The game against the Longhorns isn't the only game time that was announced. Both of the other non-conference games that the Buckeyes will play have been announced. Fans will get a night game, but it won't be for the opponent that they were hoping for.

Non-conference kickoff times for the Ohio State football team have been announced

Grambling State is the second game that Ohio State plays this season. That game will be played at 3:30 pm ET in the Shoe. It will be broadcast on Big Ten Network. It likely won't be the only game broadcast on Big Ten Network this season, but it's the first one.

The game against Ohio will be at 7 pm ET, so that will be a night game. This might be the only night game at the Shoe this season. Ohio State football fans would love to have the Penn State game be at night, but that will likely be another Big Noon game. This game against Ohio will be broadcast on Peacock.

We will have to wait for the other game times to be announced at a later date. The Buckeyes can at least plan for the first three games of the season, and then react to whatever comes after that.
