It is officially over, for the next 365 days, Ohio State fans will no to hear from Michigan fans about The Game as the Buckeyes have finally taken down the Wolverines in The Game for the first time in over four years. In a game that felt like it would be close in the first half, Ohio State shut the door on the Wolverines in the second half to secure the big win.
It felt like maybe it would be a game of field goals again this season, but in the second half, Ohio State's defense did what it does best and shut out Michigan while the offense went to work picking apart the Wolverines' defense.
Before the game had even ended, but it was clear that Ohio State was going to take this one and run, announcer Joel Klatt made a comment about the domination of the Buckeyes that fans clearly already knew.

Ohio State has been the No. 1 team in the country since after Week 1 of the season, when it handled the Texas Longhorns. There has not been another team that has even come close to taking down the Buckeyes, as this team is built to last and take down anyone, and clearly, Joel Klatt understands that.
"There has been this narrative floating about how this team has yet to be tested; they haven't faced adversity," Klatt said. "The defense has been outstanding, this offensive line has been outstanding, quarterback has been efficient, this is the best team in America."
Klatt said it best: Ohio State is the best team in America, and unless another team is going to take them down, they have plans to go and win another National Championship this season. Right now, there isn't a team out there that has come close to taking down the Buckeyes.
Now, Ohio State is set to compete for a trophy it hasn't won since 2020. The Buckeyes will take on Indiana in the Big Ten Championship next week in hopes of bringing that trophy back home as well, and then all sights are set on the National Championship trophy and bringing it back to Columbus.
