The Ohio State football program has signed most of its 2026 recruiting class. Right now, the Buckeyes have signed 25 recruits. They are still waiting on two others, and both of them are wide receivers. This comes on the heels of Brian Hartline leaving for South Florida.

With Hartline leaving to be a head coach at the end of the College Football Playoff run, the Buckeyes need to find a new offensive coordinator. More importantly, right now, they need to find a way to get Chris Henry Jr. to sign. He has been committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes since 2023.

Henry Jr. was supposed to sign his LOI this morning at his high school. Instead, he announced he was still committed to Ohio State. He sent out a message on social media that concerned Buckeye fans afterwards. Now, Jeremiah Smith is making a plea to bring him to Columbus.

Smith, the best receiver in the country, made sure that Henry Jr. knew how much the team needed him.

If Henry Jr. were to sign with the Buckeyes, he would play one year with Smith. Smith will likely leave after next season to be a first-round pick in the 2027 NFL Draft. Bringing Henry Jr. in would give them another five-star receiver to play with him and eventually succeed him.

Oregon, Texas, and USC are making runs at Henry Jr. now. Texas has offered a boatload of NIL money, and so have the Ducks. The Buckeyes are trying to do everything they can to bring him to Columbus. Ryan Day's relationship with him will be important to bring him in, as well.

Ohio State has also pledged a decent amount of money to Henry Jr. That was the understanding before Early Signing Day. There is still hope that Ohio State can bring him to Columbus within the next couple of days.
