One day, we're going to have to build a statue for Jeremiah Smith at Ohio State, right? Not only is he the best wideout in the country, but Smith's loyalty to the Buckeyes and Ryan Day is something that feels like it simply can't be matched.
Ohio State football gets chomped by 5-star OL's decision
Smith continues to remind everyone of that. Recently, the talented wideout revealed that he turned down a monster offer to enter the portal and head elsewhere. We can go ahead and assume he was talking about Miami. Well, Smith has made it more than clear once again that nothing this offseason was going to change his mind about where he was going to play this fall:

Jeremiah Smith has made it more than clear he's fully loyal to Ohio State
Some Miami fans might see this as some shade at the Canes, but we don't see it that way. If anything, Smith is just reminding people that while he may not be from the area, he's incredibly appreciative of his time in Columbus and it's something he's never going to take for granted.
You can't blame him for having so much love for Ohio State too. During his true freshman season, he lived up to his 5-star hype by being a total standout. His monster catch against Notre Dame with the National Championship on the line is something that will never be forgotten.
While Ohio State lost to Miami in the CFP this past season, it doesn't take away from what Smith has been able to get done with the Big Ten side. And looking ahead to next campaign, you better believe that he's quite motivated to help Ohio State remind everyone that it means business.
The Buckeyes are entering the new year with lofty expectations, which can be said whenever they get ready to take the gridiron in late August/early September. It will be Smith's last dance of sorts, as he's a lock to be a top 5 pick in the NFL Draft when he's eligible. He's ready to go out with a bang to close out his college career, and yup, he's more than thankful he'll be doing so with Ohio State.
