We're officially running out of words to describe the electric play of Jeremiah Smith. Time and time again, the Ohio State football standout impresses everyone with incredible plays that he makes. Such was the case once again on Saturday on the road against Purdue.

Another Michigan fan favorite hyped Ohio State up before the Purdue game

In the first half, Smith made a catch despite him being essentially tackled to the ground by a Purdue defensive back. Also in the first half, the future NFL first-round pick hauled in a beautiful long touchdown from stud quarterback Julian Sayin.

As it turns out, Smith ended up making some pretty special Ohio State history with that grab too. With that score, Smith officially reached 25 receiving touchdowns with the Buckeyes, needing only 25 games to do so. The previous best mark was posted by David Boston, who needed 30 appearances to reach 25 TDs:

Jeremiah Smith became the fastest Ohio State player ever to reach 25 receiving touchdowns

Again, what else can we say about this kid? Smith signed with Ohio State as a 5-star prospect and the No. 1 receiver in the country. Ever since he made the move to Columbus, which still breaks hearts all over Coral Gables and Miami, he's been a total stud.

With Smith only being a sophomore, he's going to have one more year with Ohio State before he undoubtedly makes the move to the NFL. At this point, it's starting to feel like it will be a shocker of massive proportions if he doesn't go No. 1 overall.

Smith had fantastic chemistry with Will Howard last campaign and more of the same has been on full display with Sayin in 2025. Entering the game, Smith had 55 receptions for 725 yards and nine touchdowns to his name.

In the 34-10 win over the Boilermakers, Smith put on a show once again, finishing with 10 catches for 137 yards and his touchdown. Thankfully, Ohio State fans have one more season to enjoy Smith making plays for the Buckeyes. One day when he does leave campus, he'll always be considered as an Ohio State great and nothing is going to change that. Goodness, what a player.
