Whenever Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith speaks, it's time to listen up. Ever since he made his way to Columbus, Smith has looked like one of the best wideouts in the country. He was a freshman phenom in 2024 and he's now ready for another strong campaign in '25.

This time around, he won't be a baby-faced 5-star freshman looking to make an impact for the Ohio State offense. Nope, this fall, that will be Quincy Porter, who graduated from high school early and enrolled to participate in his first spring camp with the Buckeyes. Porter has been turning plenty of heads, with the long list including Smith:

Jeremiah Smith is loving what he's seeing out of 5-star freshman Quincy Porter

You've got to love everything Smith had to say in that clip. With Porter being one of the top wide receivers in the country for '25, it would have been easy for him to get to Ohio State with a bit of a big head. However, he's on his grind and showing his teammates that he understands nothing will be handed to him.

It's only going to boost his confidence too knowing that Smith, one of the most electric playmakers in all of college football, is hyping up his game and work ethic like this. Porter ended up signing with the Buckeyes over additional offers from Penn State, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Miami, Michigan and many others.

The Bergen Catholic (New Jersey) product has wasted no time making noise with his new team and he's only getting started. Smith is of course coming off of a breakout 2024 season, helping Ohio State take care of business in the College Football Playoff and win the natty.

Last season, Smith posted 76 receptions for 1,315 yards and 15 touchdowns. He'll now look to be a bit of a leader on and off the field for the new arrivals on campus. Smith will take Porter under his wing and show him what it takes to be a stud in the Big Ten. People understandably can't wait to see these two work their magic together this fall.
