The Ohio State football team heads up to Madison to play their second road game in a row, the only stretch of their schedule in which they have to do that. The Buckeyes were able to crush Illinois last week, taking them down 34-16 in a game that was never truly close, despite what Brett Bielema believes.
Luke Fickell is on the hot seat coming into this game after the Badgers suffered a 37-0 loss to the Hawkeyes last weekend. Another big loss to the Ohio State Buckeyes could spell the end of his tenure in Madison. He needs a win in the worst possible way.
The best way for them to compete with Ohio State is to get some help from outside forces. Ohio State hasn't played a game with bad weather yet this season. As they get ready to travel to Wisconsin, will that lucky streak continue?
Ohio State football vs Wisconsin weather forecast
According to the Weather Channel, this will once again be a picture-perfect day for football. In Madison, it will be 72 degrees and sunny when the game kicks off at 3:30 pm ET. It might be the last time that the Buckeyes get to play in warm temperatures like that.
When the game ends, it will be 66 degrees, so the temperature won't drop that much. This game will also be played in a window where there will be no rain. That means that precipitation won't play a factor in the game. For once, the Buckeyes might have to deal with the wind.
The wind will be blowing 11-13 mph sustained during the game, with gusts up to 25 mph. That's enough to affect passes, and certainly enough to affect the kicking game. That's something that both teams will have to contend with throughout the contest.
Ohio State is best equipped to deal with the wind because they can throw the ball even in some adverse wind. This will be the first real test that Julian Sayin gets to pass in that regard.
