The Ohio State football team took down Illinois last weekend in its second game on the road. It was a game that was never really close, as the Ohio State Buckeyes took them down 34-16. Ohio State has already turned its attention toward Wisconsin, whom they play this weekend.
Despite that big win, Illinois coach Brett Bielema mentioned during his postgame press conference that he wished he had used an up-temp game plan more, because he believed it worked in the first half. He believes that was a decision that was part of the reason they lost the game.
Kenyatta Jackson was not having any part of that. He disagreed with the assertion that Illinois was moving the ball when they played faster. He let everyone know that after practice on Wednesday night, when he was speaking to the media.

After hearing Bielema claim that Ohio State's defense "couldn't do sh-- with it", it being the up-tempo offense, Jackson had a very precise message to send back in response.
“They did go tempo for a little bit, but I mean, it quickly got shut down. So whatever he said, tempo was working, I don’t know.”
It's clear that Illinois' offense didn't work that well. If it had, the Illini never would have gotten away from it in the first place. Quite frankly, nothing has worked much against the Buckeyes. Their defense remains the best in the country in most categories, including points allowed.
Bielema remains confident in his team, and he has to be. The Buckeyes aren't worried about them anymore. They are worried about possibly getting Luke Fickell fired after blowing out the Badgers on Saturday afternoon. They don't look behind them after a win.
Ohio State is expected to blow out the Badgers. It's a game that could get ugly if Fickell isn't careful. Jackson is hoping to be a big part of that in Madison.
