The Ohio State football team continues to prepare for Texas to visit the Shoe. It's the first time that the preseason number-one team will be playing against the Buckeyes in the Shoe in the season opener. The Longhorns have plenty of revenge on their minds, too.

After losing to the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl, Texas is looking to exact revenge and get a good start to the 2025 season. While the Buckeyes have lost a lot of talent, so have the Longhorns. This won't be an easy game for either team to win, especially in a blowout.

With this being the first game of the season, both teams are hoping for everything to be perfect. That includes the weather, which can either be very hot this time of year or even stormy. So how will the weather be for this game in the Shoe in a rematch of CFP semifinalists?

The weather will be perfect for the Ohio State football team's game vs. Texas

Fans and both teams could not ask for better weather this time of year. For the past couple of years, Labor Day weekend has been sweltering in Columbus. That will not be the case on Saturday, as the temperature will be 66 degrees during kickoff and the high of 72 will be at the end of the game.

There is no precipitation in the forecast, which is ideal for both teams. The wind won't be a factor either, as it will only be 3-8 mph, with 17 mph gusts. It will be even less in the stadium. Neither team can use the weather as an excuse for not executing the game plan that they have for this game.

While fans wanted this game to be a night game, they will be able to enjoy this game without any issues from Mother Nature.
