The Ohio State football team is part of the final College GameDay broadcast that will have Lee Corso as part of it. Corso started his headgear pick tradition by picking the Buckeyes in a game over Penn State back in 2016. That was the first game that he put on Brutus.

It would not be the last. Corso has put on Brutus more than anyone else in his 29 years of picking games while on the set of College GameDay. He will have one final chance to put Brutus on during his final broadcast on Saturday morning as the Ohio State Buckeyes take on Texas.

This is not just an iconic moment for ESPN and Corso, but all of college football. He is someone who is beloved by all fan bases of the sport. He will be missed once he is no longer on the show. FOX has decided to do their part in honoring him by broadcasting his final headgear pick.

Big Noon will be broadcasting Corso's final headgear pick as a tribute to all he has done for the sport of college football, going all the way back to his coaching days. It will be a simulcast that ESPN is happy to be a part of as the college football world celebrates the ol' ball coach.

Fans of the Buckeyes are certainly expecting him to don Brutus one final time. That's part of the reason why they would choose the Shoe for his final show. They want him to end his tradition by putting on the same mascot head that he started the tradition with.

Once Corso does his final headgear pick, the tradition will be retired by College GameDay. No one else will ever put a mascot head on for the show, which is the way it should be. He means too much to the sport for anyone to copy that gimmick.
