The Ohio State football program took a beating in the wide receiver room during the Transfer Portal period. From last year's roster, the Buckeyes are losing five receivers heading into 2026. Ohio State had to add some portal players of their own to replenish that depth.
Ohio State actually lost two former five-star recruits at the receiver position in the offseason. Mylan Graham and Quincy Porter were both blue-chip recruits who decided to head elsewhere after the 2025 season ended. Both of them ended up at Notre Dame.
Porter was asking for a crazy amount of money to return despite being injured during his freshman season. Yet, he looks healthy and ready to go for the Irish, and he might be a starter. Graham, on the other hand, might be having some regrets about leaving Columbus already.
Ohio State receiver Mylan Graham might regret transferring to Notre Dame
Some Notre Dame fans don't even believe that Graham will come in and end up starting for the Fighting Irish.

If Graham really ends up being the fourth option for the Irish, he would be furious for leaving Ohio State. Had he stayed in Columbus, the Buckeyes would have used him as either the second or third receiver on the depth chart. He has a lot of raw athleticism.
Ohio State ended up replacing Graham and Porter with Devin McCuin and Kyle Parker from the portal. Chris Henry Jr., a five-star recruit, also joins the roster. Perhaps Graham was afraid that Henry Jr. was going to pass him up on the depth chart anyway, and decided to leave.
If Notre Dame fans are already not impressed with what Graham can bring to the fold, that doesn't bode well for his future. He needs to play well in the spring if they are going to give him a chance to start right away.
Ohio State has already moved on with its roster. Ryan Day already believes the receiver room is deeper than it has been in years past.
