There is no other college football program that produces receivers the way the Ohio State football program does. They have produced four straight first-round wide receivers and are poised to add a fifth straight with Carnell Tate. It's part of the reason why the Buckeyes have been so good in recent years.

With Super Bowl Sunday coming up on Sunday, there are a few Ohio State Buckeyes who are participating in the big game. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is one of them, and he was a former first-round pick back in the 2023 NFL Draft. He understands what Ohio State can do for receivers.

During Super Bowl media day, Smith-Njigba was asked about what makes Ohio State special and whether he thinks Ohio State is WRU. While some Buckeye fans have complicated feelings about JSN, he clearly doesn't have any mixed feelings about Ohio State or his time there.

Former Ohio State receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba gives Ohio State some love

Smith-Njigba made no bones about the fact that he believes that Ohio State is WRU.

"I would say, when you look at the list, and it's a long list, and it's about to grow even more. I think it's just too much elite talent from top to bottom. In the league and guys that were in the league in past years. I think when you bring it all together, and you look at the names, and what we've done, I think there's no question now."

This contradicts what he said earlier in the year when he gave LSU the title of WRU. Not a lot has changed in the last few months, except that Tate is going to be a first-round pick. Perhaps he is tired of drawing the ire of some Buckeye fans after what he's done in the past.

Smith-Njigba was the best receiver in the NFL this past season, leading the league in receiving yards. He knows that Ohio State helped prepare him to become the best receiver in the league this quickly. Multiple former Buckeye receivers understand how Ohio State has helped them get to the league.

JSN has his eyes set on winning a Super Bowl and possibly Super Bowl MVP if the Seahawks want to throw the ball around.
