Former Ohio State football player and coach Mike Vrabel had a very successful season. He was able to make the Super Bowl in his first year as head coach of the Patriots. While New England lost to Seattle, it was a good start to a head coaching tenure that has a lot of promise.

Vrabel has had to deal with some offseason messiness. Former Buckeye running back TreVeyon Henderson took some heat for a social media post. Stefon Diggs was creating distractions with his offseason activities, as well. Now, he is the one who is creating some distractions.

Recently, Page Six ran a story that showed Vrabel and NFL reporter Diana Russini hugging and holding hands while at a hotel. Vrabel had to respond to these photos at a time that he should be helping his team get ready for the offseason program that is about to start.

Former Ohio State coach Mike Vrabel responds to tabloid photos

“These photos show a completely innocent interaction, and any suggestion otherwise is laughable. This doesn’t deserve any further response", Vrabel told Page Six. He understands that this is an absurd thing to put out there as his team is getting ready for the Draft, as well.

Vrabel played for the Ohio State Buckeyes in the 90s before having a very successful NFL career. He was a two-time All-American and has a tree in Buckeye Grove. He played for three different teams during his NFL career, playing a total of 14 seasons in the league.

Vrabel returned to the Buckeyes in 2011 to coach. He was on staff until 2013, eventually working his way up to be a head coach in the NFL. He was the head coach of the Titans before being let go, despite winning the NFL Coach of the Year award while in Tennessee.

Quite frankly, this is a bunch of nonsense. Vrabel has the correct response to this, and he shouldn't worry much about it as the Patriots get ready for the offseason mini-camp. He also needs to be focused on the Draft, which will happen at the end of this month.
