The Ohio State football program won the national championship in large part because of what Will Howard was able to give them. Despite not being the most physically talented quarterback, the Buckeyes needed someone like him over someone like Kyle McCord.

Howard showed how special he could be when he was in the College Football Playoff. He was absolutely balling during the four-game run at the end of the season. After that, it was surprising to see him fall into the sixth round of the NFL Draft.

Despite being drafted by the Steelers and only spending one year in the state of Ohio, Howard is still showing a phenomenal commitment to the state of Ohio and the Columbus community. He was still seen doing a camp for kids at Pickerington North High School.

Howard was with Jack Sawyer, who was his teammate with the Ohio State Buckeyes and is his current Steelers teammate, at the camp.

Howard continues to show just how impressive a person he is, in addition to the kind of leader he is. Now that he's an NFL player, he doesn't need to come back to a state where he only spent a year for a camp like this. But this is something that is clearly important to him, so he showed up.

The former Buckeye QB will be a legend in the city of Columbus forever. He led the Buckeyes to a national title, so he can always come back and have something great waiting for him. He wants to continue to foster that relationship, even as he starts his NFL career without a chance to start.

It would be wrong to count Howard out before he's ever taken an NFL snap. While Aaron Rodgers will be the starting quarterback this season, Howard still has a shot to earn the starting job after that. He just has a way of winning games and playing extremely impressive football.

Howard continues to rise up the ranks of favorite Ohio State players in recent memories among fans.
