Countless headlines have been written in recent days, as the Pittsburgh Steelers finally came to terms on a one-year deal with quarterback Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall of Famer is hoping to get Pittsburgh back to the postseason next winter.
This is both good and bad for former Ohio State Buckeyes national champ Will Howard. The bad news is that he's not going to be the starter for Pittsburgh this season, which a lot of people expected. The good news? Well, it's that he's going to be learning from a legend of the game. That's right, Rodgers made it more than clear he's ready to help bring Howard along:

“Will’s a good kid. Thought he looked good today… I’m gonna be with him every single day and every single meeting… I’m gonna help him out as much as I can.”
Aaron Rodgers is ready to take Ohio State QB Will Howard under his wing
How about that? Yes, Rodgers has been a bit controversial off the field, but no one can question or bring down the remarkable career he's had. Forget about the stuff that has gone on away from the game. On the gridiron, Rodgers is a gamer and he can be a solid mentor for Howard.
This past season, Howard suited up for the Buckeyes and he helped this team win the natty. The only flaw that people bring up about Howard is the fact that he was only one and done with the Buckeyes, transferring in from Kansas State.
The Steelers used a Day 3 pick on him, which was only made better with Pittsburgh also bringing in fellow natty winner Jack Sawyer. Those two suiting up together once again is downright special and it's something the Ohio State faithful are still smiling about.
Come the 2025 season, Howard is going to be on the bench, but he's going to be studying Rodgers and how he operates on game days. Rodgers taking him under his wing and getting him ready for the NFL is something that will greatly benefit Howard moving forward. Rodgers being so excited about helping out the youngster is pretty darn cool too.
