This season, the Ohio State football team had multiple issues on the offensive line. It was mainly the right side of the line that struggled, and that was especially true over the final two games of the season. Quite frankly, the offensive line is why Ohio State is not playing for a national championship.

Tegra Tshabola has been one of the most maligned starters on the offensive line over the past couple of years. He has struggled to be able to consistently block in the passing game and has mixed up calls in the run game. He decided to enter the Transfer Portal after the season ended.

Tshabola's days of starting for the Ohio State Buckeyes were likely over anyway, so this was a smart move for him. Ohio State was likely going to move someone else into the right guard spot. Tshabola has now decided where he will be playing his final year of college football, and it's in the SEC.

Tshabola has made the decision to play for Kentucky. He will play in the SEC for his final season, and he will likely get a shot to play for a starting spot on the offensive line there. Kentucky is now led by former Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein. This is a good spot for Tshabola to be.

This is as high-level a program as Tshabola was going to be able to go to. He was by far the worst offensive lineman this past season and was rotated out several times for both Josh Padilla and Gabe VanSickle. He did not play in the Cotton Bowl against Miami due to an injury.

Both sides are moving on, and it's the right decision for both. It seems that the Buckeyes will have a competition to determine the new starting right guard in the Spring. There's a chance they still bring someone in from the portal, but that seems increasingly unlikely as each day passes.
