The Ohio State football team is one of the last two teams standing this season. They will take on Notre Dame for the right to be called national champion. With the ultimate prize within reach, that is the only thing that the Buckeyes are focused on right now.
There are a couple of Ohio State Buckeyes who are in the transfer portal and decided to stay with the team during this run. They didn't want to abandon the team during their postseason run. One of those players is wide receiver Kojo Antwi. He has stayed with the team through their run.
Antwi is a junior receiver who has hardly played since coming to Columbus. He has just one catch for eight yards in his career, and that came earlier this season in mop-up duty against Western Michigan. Antwi has now found a new home where he is hoping to see more playing time.
Former Ohio State football player will transfer to Colorado State
Antwi has decided to continue his college football career in the Mountain West. He has decided to transfer to Colorado State. Antwi is hoping to get more chances to show what he can do as a pass-catcher instead of playing just strictly on special teams.
It was tough for Antwi to find playing time in such a talented wide receiver room. This season alone, the Buckeyes have Jeremiah Smith, Emeka Egbuka, and Carnell Tate as their top three guys. Marvin Harrison Jr. was on the team last year too. Antwi had no chance to get playing time.
Frankly, it was surprising that Antwi didn't decide to transfer after last season. The writing was on the wall. We wish nothing but the best for him moving forward. Hopefully, he can put up some numbers with the Rams because he does have some talent.
