Heading into last season, former Ohio State football player Justin Fields entered the season with the Pittsburgh Steelers as the starting quarterback. He was put into that position after Russell Wilson hurt himself during the offseason while pushing a tackling sled.
Fields played fairly well, going 4-2 in the six games that he started for the Steelers. Yet, he still lost his starting job midway through the year. Now, he signed with the New York Jets and is the expected starter. He's hoping to have a better start to the season this year.
Not only does he have a new team that he gets to play for, but he also gets to play with one of his former teammates and best friends. Garrett Wilson is thrilled to have Fields on his team, which is good because he is by far the best receiver that the team has.

Fields is probably down to his last opportunity to start in the NFL. If he doesn't play well this year, he might be a career backup in the league moving forward. Yet, this is the best situation he's been put in. The Bears' coaching staff was a disaster, and the Steelers were always pressured to start Wilson last year.
Now, Fields has a coaching staff that believes in him and wanted to sign him. He has two former teammates to throw the ball to in Wilson and Jeremy Ruckert. Everything is set up for him to finally grow into a polished passer, something he hasn't been in his NFL career.
The Ohio State Buckeyes certainly loved what all of those players did for the university. They all got to play for a championship. Now, Fields is hoping he can lead them to play for a title at the next level.
