The Ohio State football program has a long history of producing players who get massive contracts in the NFL. The Buckeyes are one of the premier programs in the league at producing NFL talent and getting them paid. Joey Bosa, Nick Bosa, and Ezekiel Elliott are some of the players who have gotten massive extensions in the NFL.
There is a new player to add to the list now. Garrett Wilso, the prolific receiver for the New York Jets, is the next person who played for the Ohio State Buckeyes to get a massive pay day. He has signed a huge four-year extension that will keep him in New York and keep him happy.

Wilson is the first receiver in NFL history to receive an average of $31 million after playing only three seasons. He is a fantastic receiver who has already shown New York that he is worthy of this money. He's clearly a number-one receiver in the league, and the Jets want to keep him as long as possible.
Justin Fields is the new starting quarterback in New York, so he gets to throw the ball to his former Buckeye teammate. Fields is going to be the starting quarterback this season, so it helps to have a receiver as great as Wilson with whom he has chemistry from college.
No matter who Wilson's quarterback has been, he has been able to produce. He's just one of the best players in the league in general. It's just another example for recruits to see that if you want to get paid in the NFL, you want to play for the Buckeyes in college.
Wilson has played in every single game since being drafted in 2022, so he is clearly very durable. He has also produced despite having multiple different starting quarterbacks throwing him the ball. In his three seasons, he has 279 catches, 3,249 yards, and 14 touchdowns.
