Every spring, the Ohio State football program has a ton of guys drafted. They have the most first-round picks of any college team in history. They seem to reload on those guys every single season, especially at the wide receiver position. The Buckeyes have had four straight receivers get drafted in the first round.

One of those receivers is Emeka Egbuka. Egbuka was the 19th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. He was the second-best receiver on his own team with the Ohio State Buckeyes, and yet he already scored a game-winning touchdown in Week 1 against the Falcons.

In Week 2, the Buccaneers took on C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans on Monday Night Football. It was an incredible performance for Tampa, and they won another last-second game, winning the game 20-19. Egbuka had yet another dominant performance and looks like the best rookie in the league.

While Egbuka didn't have another game-winning touchdown at the last second, he still got into the end zone in this game. Egbuka finished the night with four catches for 29 yards and a key score. He now already has three touchdown catches in two games.

Egbuka already looks like Tampa's best receiver. He is establishing himself as perhaps Baker Mayfield's favorite target on the offense as Mike Evans moves towards the end of his career. At the very least, Egbuka is showing that he has what it takes to take over the mantle as the go-to guy.

NFL defenses better figure out quickly how to stop him. Collegiate defenses didn't do a very good job of stopping him while he was with the Buckeyes, and it doesn't look like defenses have an answer for Egbuka yet. The Buccaneers continue to use him in different spots on the field.

Egbuka and the Buccaneers will take on Justin Fields and the Jets next week. Expect Egbuka to have another big game.
