It was an ugly scene after the game for the one-time Ohio State football commit.

The Ohio State football program finished the 2025 season without winning back-to-back national championships. They fell to Miami in the Cotton Bowl. In fact, the Buckeyes lost to both teams that ended up playing for the title. Indiana won the national title, giving the Big Ten three in a row.

Miami running back Mark Fletcher hurt the Buckeyes in the Cotton Bowl and was one of the reasons why the Hurricanes made the final game. Fletcher, a one-time Ohio State commit, scored two touchdowns in the National Championship Game against the Hoosiers.

Yet, that wasn't enough. Indiana beat Miami 27-21 to win their first-ever national title. While the Ohio State Buckeyes lost with grace to the Hurricanes, Miami did not lose with grace to the Hoosiers. Fletcher decided to let his fists fly after suffering the loss, throwing punches at an IU player.

As the confetti was flying, Fletcher decided to throw punches at Hoosiers player Tyrique Tucker. Take a look at the clip below.

The Buckeyes may have dodged a bullet when they didn't end up with Fletcher. While he is a great player, what he did is completely unacceptable. No Buckeyes decided to throw punches at Miami players when they lost in the Cotton Bowl. They accepted the loss and moved on.

Fletcher just lost the most important game that he will likely ever play in, so his emotions were certainly high. Still, he has to control them. He should have just walked off the field like the rest of the Hurricanes did and gone to the locker room. That would have prevented this whole mess.

The 2025 college football season has now come to a close. The Buckeyes are hoping to have a better end next season than they had this year. They should be loaded up on the offensive end of the ball. Now, they just need an offensive coordinator to help lead them. Indiana isn't going anywhere, though.
