The Ohio State football program has seen several former Buckeyes have some legal trouble in the last few months. We recently told you about Marcus Williamson's legal troubles. He is going to be sentenced this summer over multiple bank robberies that he was involved in.

Of course, former linebacker Darron Lee was arrested for allegedly murdering his girlfriend. That is another incredibly sad case of a former Buckeye having problems. There is another case of a former Ohio State player killing someone, and it happened last year.

Kirk Barton was an All-American offensive lineman for the Buckeyes back in the 2000s. After his career was over, he turned into a media member who spouted nonsense about Ohio State, including several untruths. He had his media access revoked. Now, he is pleading guilty to charges stemming from killing someone with his car.

Barton was involved in a 2025 crash that killed 24-year old Ethan Perry. Now, it looks like he will be pleading guilty to avoid a longer prison sentence. According to ABC 6 in Columbus, Barton will be entering plea deals. He was arrested on vehicular homicide charges, as well as some others.

He will be serving some prison time, as the felony charges mandate at least two years in prison. It's unclear how long he will have to serve, as that will be up to the judge. With Barton behind bars, it's another sad story for a former player who was great with the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Haters of Buckeye Scoop and Barton celebrated when he was arrested. That seems wrong, as it came at the expense of a young man losing his life. This is a sad story all around, and hopefully Barton is able to get the help that he needs while he serves whatever sentence he will be serving.
