The Ohio State football program has started to really ramp things up on the recruiting front. They have been scheduling visits for a lot of top players recently. The Buckeyes have specifically been active with recruits on the offensive line, which is a stark contrast from the last few years.
Justin Frye proved to be a great on-the-field coach, but his recruiting was something that lacked greatness. New offensive line coach Tyler Bowen is actually known for his strong recruiting. That prowess has started early for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Ohio State already has a couple of top tackles who are scheduled to make a visit to Columbus, including the top recruit in the country for the 2026 class. The Buckeyes have now scheduled another visit with a five-star recruit along the offensive line who has offers from all of the top programs.
Five-star recruit Felix Ojo has a visit scheduled with the Ohio State football team
Five-star tackle Felix Ojo has decided to visit the Ohio State football program. Ojo will be visiting the program the weekend of May 30th. They are second on the list of visits that he has scheduled to other schools. Ole Miss is the first school to get a visit, followed by Ohio State.
Ojo has three other official visits scheduled. After the Buckeyes, he'll visit Michigan, Texas, and Oklahoma. That means that Ohio State has their work cut out for them. They have to make a really good impression to make sure they are still on top after he sees the other three schools.
Ojo is from Texas, so they are the leaders in the clubhouse to land him. NIL has changed how things go, though. That package could be the deciding factor. The Buckeyes have been able to be strong when it comes to NIL, thanks to new athletic director Ross Bjork.
Standing at 6'7 and 274 pounds, Ojo is a big player who has a lot of potential. The Buckeyes need to make sure that they land one of these big-time tackles that they are in on. They need to get better depth up front.
