No place is better at producing NFL-worthy wide receiver talent than the Ohio State football program. As former Buckeyes continue to kill it on Sundays, the Buckeyes are looking for the next generation of recruits. Brian Hartline is a wizard at recruiting wide receivers.
One recruit that they have locked in for the 2027 recruiting class is Jamier Brown. Brown is a five-star recruit in the 2027 recruiting class. As it stands right now, he is one of three commits for the Buckeyes in that class. He is listed as the best receiver in the country.
Brown has been locked in with the Buckeyes since last November, so he has been a long-time commit for Hartline. Despite being committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes, he will be taking a visit to another school. Should Ohio State be worried he might flip?
Five-star Ohio State football commit to visit Notre Dame
Brown has decided to take an official visit to Notre Dame, which the Buckeyes beat in the national championship last season. He cited a strong relationship with Marcus Freeman as the reason for him wanting to get on campus.

Having someone who is committed to Ohio State take a visit to another program is certainly not ideal. They would love to have him completely focused on the Buckeyes. Still, it's an opportunity for recruits to get free gear from another school, which is always cool for kids to get.
If there is any position on the field that Ohio State shouldn't be worried about having recruits flip, it's wide receiver. Hartline can essentially get any receiver he recruits he wants with his track record of being able to develop first-round talent. No other program can claim that.
Ohio State football fans shouldn't panic. While next December is the soonest that Brown can sign with the Buckeyes, he has been locked in for quite a while. Ohio State seems very confident that it can keep him locked in for another year.
Brown has the opportunity to be the next Emeka Egbuka with his skill set. That's why Ohio State was so hot on his tail early in his recruiting journey.
