The Ohio State football program is known as Wide Receiver U for a reason. They have put in four straight first-round picks at the position, becoming the first ever school to do so. Quite frankly, they are the premier school when it comes to developing receivers.

Emeka Egbuka is showing that right now. As a rookie in the NFL, he has completely changed the Buccaneers' offense, becoming a stud right out of the gate. He is already taking over the number one receiver position from Mike Evans, clearly becoming Baker Mayfield's favorite target.

Egbuka is now the favorite to win Offensive Rookie of the Year. He was recently on The Pat McAfee Show, and he was asked if playing for the Ohio State Buckeyes prepared him for the NFL. He gave a very detailed answer that will certainly be used for recruiting purposes.

Ohio State receiver Emeka Egbuka shares why the Buckeyes are the best place for wide receivers

"So the first part of your question, yeah, I do think Ohio State has made me ready for my NFL career in a lot of ways. I think something that the wide receiver room at Ohio State prides ourself on is having three wide receiver ones at any given time. We have all of the ability to be able to dominate at any given game."

Egbuka didn't stop there with his praise, saying the competition is part of the reason he chose the Buckeyes.

"Just being in that room for so many years and competing with those guys day by day just made me a better football player. That's one of the reasons I chose Ohio State is because I was a five-star, top-ten recruit. Number-one receiver in my class, all that type of stuff. Could've gone anywhere. Bama, Clemson was hot at the time when I was coming out. But I wanted to go to Ohio State because I knew that receiver room was special, and I needed to be, I wanted to grow my ability, not just see the field right away."

That's a pretty big ringing endorsement for any Receiver to choose the Ohio State football program. He believes that anyone looking to succeed in the NFL right away should play their college ball in Columbus. It's a similar answer to the one he gave to Kay Adams recently.

This is certainly some material that the Buckeyes will be using to recruit other receivers over the next few years. Egbuka will continue to play very well as the season continues, as he gets more reps. That's a scary thought for opposing defenses.
