The Ohio State football program has been pursuing five-star tackle Felix Ojo for quite a long time. He is rated as the second-best tackle in the country. If the Buckeyes were able to land him, he would be the first five-star offensive line recruit since Paris Johnson Jr.

Ojo is one of the few recruits that the Ohio State Buckeyes have been okay with offering a large sum of money to in the NIL space. He is worth it because of how talented he is. Ojo has three other schools pursuing him, but Ohio State really needs to worry about just one.

Texas is the biggest competitor for the Buckeyes when it comes to his recruitment. Michigan and Florida are also on his final list, but he mentioned that Texas and Ohio State were his top schools. We now know when Ojo will be making his commitment decision.

Ojo has decided to commit on Friday, which is the Fourth of July. It is also Ojo's birthday, so he decided to have a big celebration for that. It will either be a celebration for Texas or Ohio State, as well. Right now, it looks like he's leaning towards the Longhorns.

That doesn't mean that Ohio State is out of it by any means. He still has the Buckeyes in his top two for a reason. They have a few days to make one final push to land him. Perhaps Tyler Bowen has one final trick up his sleeve to land Ojo, which would be by far his best prospect in this class.

If the Buckeyes are able to land Ojo, he would be their third five-star recruit in this class. No one has more five-star recruits than they do, so that would be another win on the recruiting trail. Ryan Day is hoping that they will come out on top in his recruitment.

The last time there was a five-star commitment for the Buckeyes on the Fourth of July was back in 2021 when J.T. Tuimoloau announced he was going to join Ohio State. It would be nice to have a similar win.
