The Ohio State football program has the top recruiting class in the country for 2025. It's been like that for a while. A lot of the work the Buckeyes did in the Spring is why they have been at the top of the rankings for so long. Ryan Day has done a good job on the recruiting trail.

After losing to Oregon, there were concerns that the loss could do some damage on the recruiting trail. One Ohio State football commit gave a vote of confidence to the Ohio State Buckeyes afterward. Now, it seems like he's going back on his word, which has been rumored for months.

Five-star cornerback Na'eem Offord was initially scheduled to visit this weekend while the Buckeyes were playing Nebraska. He has been committed to the Buckeyes since February. Now, he will no longer be visiting Columbus and has opted to stay at home instead.

Offord has been rumored to be flipping to Auburn for months. Despite this, he has made numerous statements on social media contradicting those rumors. Yet his actual actions seem to dispute those remarks. He keeps deciding to do these things that indicate he won't actually play for Ohio State.

We don't know what Offord is thinking. National Signing Day doesn't happen until December and February. He still has plenty of time to change his mind and commit elsewhere. Nothing is certain in today's age of NIL and recruiting. Coaches have to keep recruiting guys every single day.

It's definitely not a good sign that Offord isn't visiting this weekend. It remains to be seen if he ends up scheduling another visit to Columbus in the near future. If he does, things might be salvageable. If he doesn't, it's only a matter of time before he flips elsewhere.
