Desmond Howard deflects from Michigan's failure by attacking Ohio State football team
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has a big matchup this weekend against Penn State. That's where all of their attention is. If they win this game, all of their goals are still attainable. That includes winning a Big Ten Championship as well as a national championship.
The same can't be said for Michigan. They are significantly worse than they were a year ago and have already lost three games this season and they still have to play Oregon, Indiana, and the Buckeyes. Their goals aren't attainable. The only goal they can achieve is beating the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Because of how bad the Wolverines are this year, Desmond Howard can't say anything positive about them. Instead, he has to attack the Buckeyes. Speaking on College Football Live on ESPN, Howard basically said Ohio State is only good against inferior opponents.
Desmond Howard attacks the Ohio State football program yet again
Howard seems to think that the Buckeyes just threw a group of guys together in the offseason without knowing exactly what they had when things got tough. Take a look at the clip below.
He is just deflecting because of how bad Michigan is. Yes, the Buckeyes lost to Oregon and looked like garbage in their win against Nebraska. That doesn't mean that they can't still beat Penn State and right the ship. They have the talent to do it. It's up to the coaching staff to put the guys in a position to be able to succeed in that endeavor.
I haven't made up my mind on what my official prediction is for the game this week. I probably won't make my mind up until Saturday morning. What I know for certain is that Ohio State is a better team than Howard thinks they are. It's not surprising to see him hate on them yet again.
