The Ohio State football program is gearing up for the offseason. They will have a really tough start to the season with Texas coming to town for the season opener. The Buckeyes were the last team that the Longhorns played, losing to them in the Cotton Bowl.

Ohio State would go on to win the national championship and is one of the favorites to win it again this season. The Ohio State Buckeyes are clearly one of the most talented teams in the country and are going to be one of the toughest teams to beat when the College Football Playoff rolls around.

One college football analyst doesn't believe in the Buckeyes. In fact, he believes in the Longhorns more and has Texas beating the Buckeyes in a rematch in the College Football Playoff. He doesn't even have Ohio State winning the Big Ten, either.

Andy Staples believes the Ohio State football team will lose to Texas in the CFP

Texas is going to be one of the other contenders to win the national championship, and that's who Andy Staples is taking to win it all. The On3 analyst believes that the Longhorns will take on the Buckeyes, beat them, and then go on to win the national championship.

Not only does he have Texas beating Ohio State, but he also has Penn State winning the Big Ten over the Buckeyes. He has them as the second overall seed, with Texas being the top seed. The other Big Ten team he has in the field is Oregon, which is an eight seed.

Texas is certainly a good team, but the Buckeyes have already beaten the Longhorns in the CFP. The season opener will certainly give us an idea of which team is better, but each team will have a chance to continue to improve throughout the regular season.
