Ohio State is trying to make a push for some top talent in the Transfer Portal, especially with losing guys to the portal and the NFL. The latest target for Ryan Day and company is former Penn State EDGE rusher Chaz Coleman, who is widely considered one of the best players all around in the portal.
Coleman has garnered interest from lots of schools, but so far, he has only had visits with LSU, Tennessee, and now Ohio State. Coleman made his official visit to Ohio State on January 6 and even posted a picture of what looks to be some stuff the Buckeyes gave him.
Now, this is some interesting merch that the Buckeyes look to have given Coleman, as it looks like a lot of Christmas decorations, but hey, if it works, then it works.

Coleman made his visit to Columbus after his visits to LSU and Tennessee, and the Buckeyes seem to be the only Big Ten school he has visited. It looks like it will be a battle between the Big Ten and the SEC yet again for a top player.

Ohio State fans will be ecstatic to see that Coleman is showing serious interest in the Buckeyes with an official visit. The former Nittany Lion had a productive freshman season with eight total tackles, one pass defended, one sack, and one forced fumble.
Coleman still has a good amount of eligibility left, so the team that lands him will be able to have him for probably at least two years. Coleman is an Ohio native, so Ohio State could be a top team in the running, and Coleman could be closer to home.
Day has done a good job in the transfer portal so far, but he needs to make the biggest push for Coleman, as he is rated as such a top player at his position, and Ohio State could be losing a good amount of guys on the defensive side of the ball.
