The Ohio State football program continues to do a lot of work in both the transfer portal and on the recruiting trail. Both of those areas of recruiting are big for the Buckeyes as they try to improve their team for the future. While the Spring portal will help the team this year, recruits will help them next year.
Ohio State is slotted to have several recruits visit them in the next few weeks. They have been very active when it comes to recruiting offensive linemen. It's clear that they don't love the depth that they have right now, so they are trying their best to remedy that under new offensive line coach Tyler Bowen.
Bowen has already been able to land quite a few offensive linemen for the 2026 class, and he has several more that he is looking to land. One of those is Darius Gray, who is a five-star recruit, has now locked in a visit with the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Five-star recruit Darius Gray will visit the Ohio State football program
Gray is listed as the second-best interior offensive lineman in the class of 2026. He has a lot of the top programs going after him, including Penn State, LSU, South Carolina, and Auburn. Gray will be visiting on June 11th as he tries to figure out where he wants to attend college.
The Buckeyes haven't landed a five-star offensive lineman in several years, so landing Gray would be a great way for them to end that unfortunate streak. He is one of the best offensive linemen in the country, and he would be an instant impact guy up front.
Bowen has already shown the ability to be a great recruiter for the Buckeyes. How the Buckeyes are able to sell him on the program and what kind of NIL package they can give him will have a huge impact on his decision.
