After Ohio State football vs. TTUN post-game fiasco, lawmakers propose silly law

Following the fracas following the Ohio State football vs. Michigan game, one Ohio lawmaker has proposed an incredibly stupid law.

The Ohio State football team had a post-game fight with Michigan that was ugly. It started when Michigan tried to plant their flag at midfield. Jack Sawyer was not going to let that happen and went up to take it away. One thing led to another, and a melee ensued.

It was an ugly finish to an ugly game for the Ohio State Buckeyes. They lost the game 13-10, and it marked the fourth straight loss to TTUN. That melee really summed up how it's been for the Buckeyes against their rivals in the Ryan Day era. Ohio lawmakers aren't happy with it though.

That flag-planting incident wasn't the only time that happened in the final weekend of the regular season. Other programs did the same thing, and it caused similar stirs. Now, one lawmaker wants to make it illegal to plant flags in Ohio Stadium. The kicker is that he likes teams from Michigan.

After Ohio State football game, Ohio lawmaker wants to outlaw flag-planting in the Shoe.

A lawmaker from Toledo, Josh Williams, wants to make it a felony to plant a flag in Ohio Stadium. He calls it the O.H.I.O. Sportsmanship Act. It would make planting a flag in the center of Ohio Stadium during a college football game illegal. Of course, this bill has no shot of being passed.

It's very late in the year for a bill to be introduced and it doesn't have time to be passed. This is just a political stunt. There's a chance it could even be a troll of the Buckeyes because his social media pages are full of him being a Detroit Lions fan. Could he be a TTUN fan too?

Regardless, this is a stupid move. Lawmakers should be focused on real issues, not wasting taxpayer money on stuff that will never get passed about sports.
