A key player for Penn State will start against the Ohio State football team
By Ryan Stano
The Ohio State football team has to take on Penn State this weekend. It will be a tough test for the Buckeyes as they travel to Happy Valley. It's the second time in three weeks that they will be involved in a top-five matchup. It's a game that could decide who will make the Big Ten Championship.
Ohio State has had to deal with a host of injuries in the last few weeks. Josh Simmons being lost for the season was a disaster for them. Lathan Ransom missed last week against Nebraska too. Ransom will be back this week, which is good, but Penn State has been dealing with some injuries of their own.
Drew Allar, the starting quarterback for the Nittany Lions, was hurt in last week's game against Wisconsin. He was initially listed as a game-time decision for this week. Now, it looks like Penn State is going to have him for this massive matchup.
Drew Allar will play against the Ohio State football team
According to Pete Nakos of ON3, Allar will be starting for Penn State against the Ohio State Buckeyes. He is obviously the starter for a reason, although Beau Pribula played well when he came on the field too. I think The Nittany Lions will have a package for him as well.
Ryan Day and the Buckeyes have been preparing for both quarterbacks all week. This news won't change their final walkthrough preparations. Honestly, they should be more concerned about how their own offense is going to play against Penn State's defense.
The Buckeye defense is going to need to put pressure on Allar in order to succeed. They recorded three sacks against Nebraska, which is some progress. This is a game that could come down to the final drive. Day better hope it doesn't. He needs a win in the worst way.
