The Ohio State football program is trying to start building up the 2027 recruiting class. They already have the best recruit in the country in that class in DJ Jacobs. He is going to be the crown jewel of the class. He's not the only five-star recruit that the Buckeyes are hoping to land.

Right now, the Ohio State Buckeyes have the third-best recruiting class for 2027. They already have two five-star recruits committed so far, but there are a few others whom Ohio State is pursuing hard. Three five-star recruits have Ohio State's attention the most ahead of spring ball.

All of these recruits are on the offensive side of the ball, but all of these recruits are heavily considering the Buckeyes. Monshun Sales, Maxwell Hiller, and David Gabriel Georges are prospects that Ohio is hoping to land at some point in the next few months.

Three five-star recruits at the top of Ohio State's recruiitng board

Sales is a five-star receiver recruit from Indianapolis who just recently put the Buckeyes in his final four schools. He would become the latest five-star receiver recruit to pick the Buckeyes. He would become the first one to pick Ohio State without Brian Hartline on the coaching staff.

Hiller is an offensive lineman who is also down to his final four schools. Ohio State is the only non-SEC school that is a finalist for the five-star interior lineman. With Hiller from Pennsylvania, perhaps the Bucekyes will have an advantage, being the only northern school on his list.

Gabriel Georges is the one who is the most open with his recruitment. While Ohio State and Tennessee are the favorites for the five-star running back, other programs can still catch up to those two. The Buckeyes would love to be able to land him, though.

Getting all three prospects on campus for a visit over the summer will be at the top of Ohio State's list. That would allow them to seal the deal on a commitment decision.
