With all of the recruiting heartbreak the Ohio State football team has suffered this week, it's about time some good news came in for head coach Ryan Day and his staff. Thankfully, it's one of his 5-star commits telling two of the top teams in the country that a flip won't be happening.
On Saturday, Mater Dei (California) wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. took over ESPN, and the internet for that matter, with an unreal performance, including an incredible long touchdown in the first half. After the game, he caught up with Rivals' Marcus Benjamin, and he said that Oregon and Texas are still working to flip him. Henry made it pretty clear that's not going to end up happening this fall:

Chris Henry Jr. made it clear he's locked in with Ohio State despite Oregon and Texas pushing
Multiple times, Henry has silenced any speculation that he might change his mind recruiting wise. He was supposed to take several official visits earlier this year, but he canceled those and let the world know that he was set on playing his college ball in Columbus.
Dan Lanning and Steve Sarkisian didn't get the memo, which is why they haven't given up on going after him. Thankfully for Day and offensive coordinator Brian Hartline, Henry knows that playing for the reigning national champs is going to best prepare him for the NFL.
The Henry update also comes at a time when Ohio State really needed it. This week alone, the Buckeyes went 0-for-3 with 5-star prospects, missing out on Savion Hiter (Michigan), Bralan Womack (Auburn) and Darius Gray (South Carolina).
This led to the Ohio State faithful being pretty darn upset with athletic director Ross Bjork, as there's a general feeling that NIL is the main reason the Buckeyes keep getting spurned. That's not the case with Henry, however, as the big-bodied wideout is staying loyal to Ohio State. The thought of him playing alongside Jeremiah Smith next season has got to terrify opposing Big Ten defenses.
