Getting sick of all the positive Ohio State football recruiting news? Of course you're not. Things have been looking great for head coach Ryan Day for the 2026 class, including him recently landing elite receiver prospect Kayden Dixon-Wyatt.
With that said, Day and Co. are also hitting the ground running when it comes to the 2027 group. A player a lot of people have their eyes on is linebacker Kaden Henderson, ranked a 5-star playmaker. Henderson is no stranger to Columbus and from the looks of a recent post online, he's sure got the Buckeyes high on his list:

Ohio State appears to be in a good spot with 5-star LB Kaden Henderson
While it's still super early for Henderson's recruitment, as he won't be able to sign until December 2026 at the earliest, Day is indeed making him feel like a top priority. This is smart too, as he's one of the top available players for his class.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Henderson is ranked five stars, the No. 2 linebacker in the country and the No. 17 prospect overall. Landing his verbal isn't going to be easy, though, as the 6-2, 200-pounder has picked up 36 offers already - that number will be growing too.
In addition to Ohio State, the Tampa, Fla. product has been offered by Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Ohio State and many others. As you can see, some of the top powerhouses in the nation are fighting hard for his commitment.
Again, there's still a lot of time until Henderson not only shuts things down, but then signs with his program of choice. Despite that, the Buckeyes have Henderson thinking about what a potential future in Columbus might look like for him. It sure helps knowing that should he join Ohio State down the road, he'd put himself in a position to compete for national titles. That's always a big sell for Day and his coaches.
