A massive recruiting weekend just took place for Ohio State and there was some 5-star flavor to things. Not only are Ryan Day and the Buckeyes on the verge of landing running back David Gabriel Georges, but the Buckeyes sure did a great job in turning the head of Texas Tech commit Benny Easter Jr. while he was in town.

Latest David Gabriel Georges update gives Ohio State football fans more 5-star hope

As things stand, Easter remains committed to Joey McGuire and the Red Raiders. However, Easter went ahead and shared some pretty eye-opening photos from his official visit and if you ask us, he sure looks pretty dang good in his Ohio State gear. Will his visit be enough to help Day record a massive flip?

Ohio State is working overtime in trying to flip 5-star WR Benny Easter Jr.

The main roadblock in front of Ohio State feels pretty obvious: Texas Tech has all the NIL money in the world. However, could Day sell Easter on the fact that he'd be able to help fellow 5-star WR Chris Henry Jr. lead the Ohio State aerial attack once the 2027 season gets here?

Ohio State and Day are going to have to load up at the position with Jeremiah Smith, barring a stunner of massive proportions, off to the NFL next April as a Top 5 pick. Ohio State already has elite WR Jamier Brown on board for the '27 haul, but Day isn't satisfied there alone. Nope, he's eyeing Easter and Ohio State is clearly giving him a lot to think about.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Easter is ranked five stars, the No. 7 wide receiver in the country and No. 36 prospect nationally - he's also the No. 8 playmaker from Texas. Him being a Lone Star State stud should give Tech the upper hand, which is why he originally committed to McGuire and his staff back on Nov. 20.

However, the fact that the Buckeyes were able to get him on campus was a huge deal, and now the flip efforts are going to reach a new level. It also helps that Gabriel Georges was also in town, as multiple predictions have come in on Ohio State to take down Tennessee and others for his services. If that happens, it could make Easter's decision a bit easier.

For now, the 6-0, 200-pounder is planning to take his game to Lubbock, but things are far from a certainty there. Ohio State will have until December's Early Signing Period to change his mind and after his time in Columbus for his official, there's no question extra pressure on McGuire to try to hang on here - Day sure is not making things easy on him.
