The Ohio State football program is trying to finish up its 2026 recruiting class. As of right now, they have the fourth-best recruiting class in the country. They are still trying to add to that class and have dreams of winning their first recruiting national championship.
In order to achieve that goal, they will have to land some more five-star recruits. No one in the country has more five-star recruits in this class than the Ohio State Buckeyes. While they have just two, they are looking to add a few more before the cycle ends.
There are three five-star recruits that the Buckeyes still have a realistic shot at landing in this class. Only one of them is projected to go to Ohio State at the moment, but they are very close on the other two. Let's start with the recruit they need to land the most.
1. Felix Ojo, T
Felix Ojo is rated as the second-best tackle in the country. He is someone that the Buckeyes have been hot after, especially after Jackson Cantwell chose Miami. Ojo has become one of the top prospects on their board. Tyler Bowen is in charge of recruiting Ojo.
Landing Ojo would give Ohio State its first five-star recruit on the offensive line in five years. That's a long time for a program as storied as Ohio State to go between five-star recruits. They are still trying to get Ojo to fix that issue. He would certainly be a good one to get.
Right now, the Buckeyes are not favored to get his commitment. Texas is the favorite to land Ojo, as that is his home-state school. He just visited the Longhorns in an official capacity last weekend. He did visit Ohio State last month, but they need a massive push to bring him to Columbus.
That doesn't mean they can't do it. He is someone that they would be okay with spending a lot of NIL money on. The second recruit Ohio State can still grab is a really good player on the offensive side of the ball.
