The Ohio State football team has lost to Oregon. It was their first loss of the season and it was the biggest matchup in college football last weekend. The Buckeyes fell 32-31 in a game that they could have won at the end if mental mistakes weren't made.

Instead, the Buckeyes lost the game and have already fallen in the polls. They sit at 5-1 heading into their bye week. To make matters even worse, the Ohio State Buckeyes lost their starting left tackle for the season in that game. Josh Simmons won't be back. It's unclear who will replace him long-term.

Ohio State is no longer the favorite to win the Big Ten. They still have to travel to Penn State and host Michigan this season. Neither game will be easy. They will slide in this week's College Football prediction table. What other moves will be made this week?

Oregon swaps spots with the Buckeyes this week. I still believe Ohio State is better than Penn State and they will prove that in a few weeks. Still, the win over USC after being down big in the first half was impressive. It won't be an easy game for Ohio State to win.

Not a lot else changed this week except for things in the SEC. Texas further solidified its status as the best team in the country after a big win over Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry. Alabama also falls out of the rankings after barely holding on over South Carolina at home.

LSU breaks in this week after a solid win over Ole Miss. I don't think Ole Miss is very good, but LSU has clearly righted the ship after the opening loss to USC. Other than Texas and Georgia, they look like the best team in the SEC.

We'll see if the bye week can help the Buckeyes fix some things so they can beat Penn State and have a chance at taking on Oregon again in the Big Ten Championship Game.
