Three QBs Ohio State Football is linked to in the portal

3. Dante Moore

If the Ohio State football team wants someone with tremendous upside, Dante Moore could be an option. Moore is a former five-star recruit who has a big arm and can make all of the throws necessary. He’s the rawest of the three quarterbacks linked to the Buckeyes.

Moore’s 2023 season was a mixed bag. He threw for 1,610 yards and 11 touchdowns to go along with 9 interceptions. He was just a freshman, so he definitely has time to grow and fix the problems he encountered while playing for UCLA this season.

I saw a report from an LA radio host that tied him to Ohio State, but I don’t think the Buckeyes are pursuing him too seriously. If they were going to go with a raw, five-star talent, they would just start Air Noland next season. No need to go out into the portal to get someone like that.

Of the three quarterbacks linked to the Ohio State football program, I think Moore is the least likely to choose the Buckeyes. It may be that they decide not to pursue him. We’ll see what happens, but Ward and Leonard are better options and are more likely to be wanted by the Bucks.

As of now, these are the three QBs who have been linked to the Ohio State Buckeyes in reports. There is still plenty of time for other quarterbacks to get looked at by the Bucks, but there is no doubt that they will move in on their guy pretty quickly.
