Total Confidence Level – 52 percent

If you add up all my confidence level scores and multiply them by two, my confidence level this week that the Ohio State football team will beat Michigan is at 52 percent. This is the lowest confidence level I have given the Buckeyes since they played Alabama in the National Championship game.

In that game, I was at a 51 and they ended up getting throttled by the Crimson Tide. My 52 percent means I do believe Ohio State can and will win, but in all reality, this looks like and feels like a coin toss to me when you look at how these categories break down.

There is nothing better than beating Michigan and getting to celebrate and gloat all year long. On the flip side, there is nothing worse than losing to Michigan and watching them get to celebrate and gloat all year long, which has happened the past two seasons. It’s time that comes to an end.

The Ohio State football team has had a wonderful season up to this point. Going 11-0 has been awesome. Only five other schools can boast that they too have gone 11-0 so far. Other than Ohio State and Michigan, the other four schools are Georgia, Washington, Florida State, and Liberty.

But you and I both know that if that record goes to 11-1 with that one loss being to Michigan, this season will feel more like a failure than a success. The same reigns true for Michigan if the Buckeyes defeat them on Saturday. Whoever wins will feel like they are on top of the college football world. I desperately want that feeling on Saturday.
