The Ohio State football team has one final week where they can figure stuff out. That’s this week against Western Kentucky at the Shoe. After this, the real schedule starts. This week will be a little bit easier to figure out what to do on the betting side of things as well.

If you’re looking to do some legal sports gambling, this game is actually a good one to look at. There are some tasty bets with good numbers on them. All odds that you are about to see are from FanDuel, although I’ve seen similar odds at other sportsbooks.

The first thing I like is the alternate spread of 27.5. That’s where the line was a few days ago. Now, the Buckeyes are 29.5-point favorites. If you take the spread down to 27.5, those odds are -142. Parlay that with the over of 64.5 and you get +215 odds.

This is a game where a lot of points will be scored. Western Kentucky has scored 93 combined points in their first two games. The Ohio State football team seems to have figured out their quarterback situation. A lot of points will be scored, most of them should be from the Buckeyes.

If you’re looking for good value, I like the Game Special bet of 1+ passing touchdown in each quarter. Those odds sit at +390. Kyle McCord will be slinging it around, as will Austin Reed. If WKU is going to have any chance to win this game, they’re going to have to throw touchdowns.

The total for the first half sits at 33.5. The first-half spread has Ohio State as a 15.5-point favorite. If you parlay those together, you get +178 odds. If Ohio State isn’t up by that much at halftime, this team has some much bigger issues they need to deal with.

Next. Ohio State has a huge left tackle problem. dark

These are some good value bets at some good numbers. All that matters is that Ohio State wins though!
