The Ohio State football team has one more easy game before the meat of their schedule starts to kick in. That easy game is against Western Kentucky this weekend in the Shoe. The Buckeyes are looking to build off of their 35-7 victory over Youngstown State over the weekend.

This is the last dress rehearsal for the Buckeyes before they travel to South Bend to take on Notre Dame. It’s a game that should see the defense continue to play well and an offense that needs to run the ball better. The offensive line is definitely something to monitor in this one.

Ohio State football vs. Western Kentucky Odds, Spread and Total

According to FanDuel, the Buckeyes are currently 27.5-point favorites. That’s the smallest spread that they’ve had so far this season. Ohio State has yet to cover the spread in either of their first two games of the season too, so keep that in mind if you bet this game.

The over/under is set at 63.5, which is quite high. The reason it’s so high is Western Kentucky can put up points in a hurry. In their first two games, they’ve put up a combined 93 points. That’s more than the Buckeyes have scored so far in their two contests.

Ohio State football vs. Western Kentucky: How to watch

There are several ways you can watch this game on Saturday. The game is at 4 pm and will be broadcast on FOX. You can also access the game on the FOX Sports App and stream it that way. Personally, I like streaming the game on Fubo TV if I’m away from my TV.

Ohio State football vs. Western Kentucky: Key players to watch.

On Ohio State’s side, Kyle McCord is the guy to watch. He needs to play as settled and as efficiently as he did against YSU for fans to be confident in him heading into Week 4 against Notre Dame. I expect him to play well again in this one.

For Western Kentucky, Austin Reed has lit it up through the air so far this season. He’s thrown six touchdown passes and no interceptions. This will be a good test for the secondary because they haven’t faced a quarterback as talented as him yet this season.

Ohio State football vs. Western Kentucky: Prediction and pick

Ohio State shouldn’t have any trouble winning this game. I do think Western Kentucky will score the most points of any team against the Buckeyes so far, but I still think the Buckeyes cover a spread that small. Give me the Buckeyes 49-17.

Hopefully, this game can go smoothly so they feel confident about the Notre Dame game.
