Ohio State Football: Three bold predictions for the Indiana game
2. Ohio State football grounds and pounds for 250 yards rushing
So much has been said about the starting quarterback situation for the Ohio State football team and rightfully so, but this is a day that will belong to the running backs. Indiana finished last season ranked No. 99 in overall rush defense and I don’t believe that will change much this season.
TreVeyon Henderson is chomping at the bit to get the bad taste of an injury-riddled season of a year ago out of his mouth. All indications are that he is focused on proving his doubters wrong in 2023. I think he will try to make a statement in this game that he’s back and I wouldn’t be shocked to see him get over 150 yards on the ground by himself.
This will also be a game that Ohio State could have in hand by the third quarter. We all know that Ryan Day doesn’t like to run the score up on opposing head coaches (unless your Mike Locksley). So, a steady diet of runs will be on order for the second half of this game, giving all five tailbacks enough carries to be happy with.
Look for the Buckeyes to compile some big numbers on the ground as they will rush for over 250 yards in this contest.
