The Ohio State football program has been building some momentum on the recruiting trail, especially on the defensive end of the ball. That momentum continued into Thursday as the Buckeyes landed another four-star corner in the 2024 recruiting class.

That commitment came from Miles Lockhart from Chandler, Arizona. Lockhart is listed as a four-star corner and can also play running back. While he’s a little smaller at 5’10, he’s got some muscle to him. He still weighs 185 pounds. He’s also super fast.

Lockhart runs track so you know he can keep up with some of the fastest receivers out there. His frame is what gets me excited because he won’t be afraid to come up and help in the run game. Looking at his tape, he has good ball skills and can defend either man or zone equally well.

I like this get for the Ohio State football program. We all know they need as much help in the secondary as they can possibly get, so this is a good job by Tim Walton and Perry Eliano to land this commitment. They have been hitting the recruiting trail hard.

Lockhart becomes the third member of the 2024 recruiting class in the secondary. The Buckeyes are in a position to add some more as well. His commitment gets the Buckeyes to 18 commits so far for the class. They remain second in the recruiting rankings behind Georgia.

Ryan Day is building an excellent class. He still has plenty of time this Summer and Fall to keep making it better too. I expect this class to end up as one of the best classes Ohio State has ever had. It’s got a real shot to be the number-one class in the country too.

Ohio State has never played these FBS teams. dark. Next

More BOOMs are coming. We’ll be there to let you know about them.
