Ohio State football has strangely never played these FBS teams

Ohio State football vs. MAC

The Buckeyes have played a lot of the teams in this conference because they are extremely close geographically and there are a lot of Ohio teams in the MAC. In fact, Ohio State has only not played two teams in the conference to date.

Ball State: Even though Ball State is just less than three hours away by car, the Buckeyes have never played the Cardinals. Ball State will travel from Indiana to the Shoe in 2026 though, and that will mark the first-ever meeting between these two programs.

Central Michigan: Of all of the directional Michigan schools, the Buckeyes have yet to play Central Michigan a single time. They are one of the best MAC programs and have yet to make a trip to the Shoe. I see them eventually getting to do so though.

The next conference would have been the Pac-12, but as I mentioned before, they are not on this list. Ohio State has played everyone in that conference at least once before, mainly because of the bowl tie-in with the Rose Bowl. Instead, we move to a different conference.
