Ohio State football vs. Independents

UConn: Perhaps the worst college football program in the country right now. That’s too bad because they actually were halfway decent in the mid-to-late 2000s. Ohio State hasn’t played them yet but will for the first time in 2025 when the Huskies visit the Shoe.

UMass: The Minutemen have only been in the FBS since 2013 and have only been in a conference for two years before deciding to be independent. I don’t see any reason for the Buckeyes to schedule them now or anytime in the future.

Ohio State has faced all of the other independents in the country at least once. There are also only four independents left after all of the conference movement so that’s partially why there aren’t more teams on this list in the Independent category.
