Ohio State Football: Predicting the final spots in 2024 recruiting class
Aaron Scott, CB- No. 53 overall, 4-star
Aaron Scott, from Springfield, Ohio, needs to be a Buckeye. Scott came out and said that his decision will come on July 30th and it’s down to Ohio State, Michigan, and Oregon. Some experts believe that he could sign with Oregon or Michigan becauseBryce West already committed. I think if you’re a top 100 player in the state of Ohio, nine times out of 10 you’re going to be playing football in Columbus. I’ll take my chances and predict he’s a Buckeye.
Eddrick Houston, DE- No. 23 overall, 5-star
Larry Johnson has to deliver this cycle. After striking out on all his top pass rushers in last year’s recruiting class, I believe this proven recruiter will deliver in a big way in 2024. It all starts with the Georgia native Eddrick Houston, who many believe is right on the cusp of verbally committing to the Buckeyes.
Justin Scott, DT- No. 14 overall, 5-star
Continuing with the defensive line, Scott is a Chicago native who seems to have Ohio State moving up his list at the right time. He visited Columbus last week and came away very impressed. This would be a massive win for Larry Johnson as Scott had been a heavy favorite to land at Notre Dame or Miami.
Dylan Stewart, DE- No. 9 overall, 5-star
Can Johnson really get three five-star defensive linemen in one class? I believe the answer is yes. The Buckeyes seem to be in the lead for Stewart and he would be a massive get for this Buckeye defense. Also remember, Stewart is a DC area native, and Larry Johnson is a great recruiter in that region.
Marquise Lightfoot, DE- No. 67 overall, 4-star
Ohio State is also in the lead for this Chicagoland native as well. Fresh off his early June visit, it seems to only be a matter of time before he announces.
Jayden Jackson, DT- No. 425, 4-star
The last defensive lineman I have in the class, Larry Johnson has been high on this kid from IMG Academy in Florida for over a year now.
Terhyon Nichols, CB/S- No. 275 overall, 4-star
I believe Nichols will round out the secondary for Ohio State this class. The Withrow High School player from Cincinnati has been shooting up the Buckeyes board for the past six months now. Look for him to possibly give a commitment this summer.
